New E-Visa Platform Date of Effect

The Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad has announced the launch of a new online e-Visa Thailand platform, starting 1^st January 2025, at 10:00 AM. This launch of online Thailand e-Visa portal will revolutionize the visa application process for foreign nationals in Pakistan and Afghanistan. All interested applicants must submit their visa applications through the dedicated Thailand e visa website.

How the Process Works

With the introduction of this online Thai e-visa platform, applicants will no longer need to submit their original passports and original supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy. This change simplifies the process, saving time and effort for the travelers. 

Once an applicant completes their Thai e-Visa application, it will undergo the review process. Upon approval, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. This email must be printed and presented to airlines at the port of departure and to Thai immigration officials upon arrival in Thailand. 

Payment Details

While the e-Visa process has been made online, the Thai e-Visa fee payment cannot be made through the platform at this time. Applicants will need to visit the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad to make the required payment. The embassy is located at Plots No. 1-20, Diplomatic Enclave-1, Sector G-5/4 Islamabad. The Royal Thai Embassy will continue to accept in-person visa applications until Tuesday, 24^th December 2024, after this particular date all Thailand e visa applications must be submitted through the online platform. 

Eligibility for Thailand E-Visa

The Thailand e-Visa service is available only to applicants who are not currently in Thailand and are located in countries where the e-Visa platform is operational.
