2 in 1 Package? Aima Baig Performs in Concert and Then Performs Umrah

Recently the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia hosted a Pakistan-Indonesia Music Night as part of the ‘Jeddah Season 2024,’ which was attended by thousands of people. Pakistani singer Aima Baig was also invited to perform at this year’s Jeddah Season however, her decision to combine the work trip with Umrah package has caused her a significant amount of online criticism. Videos of her performance at the musical night in Jeddah organized by the Pakistani community are going viral on social media. Various other prominent stars from Pakistan and Indonesia were also invited to perform at the Jeddah Season concert. Besides this massively organized event, fans did not like that Aima Baig performed Umrah after concert and criticized her online.

Aima Baig performed for the Jeddah concert at the Equestrian Club, Jeddah on 2nd August 2024, Friday and the next day she went to perform Umrah. Aima Baig shared her pictures and videos through her social media account, being immersed in the spiritual environment of Haram. Her decision to combine this with Umrah package journey has led to mixed reactions. The controversy highlights the delicate balance between professional commitments and personal beliefs, raising questions about public expectations and the role of social media in shaping opinions.

Many other known artists and social media stars along with Aima Baig went to perform at the Pakistan-Indonesia Music Night including Bilal Saeed, actor Kashif Khan and his TikToker daughter Rabeeca khan, Sonu Dance Group, and Indonesia’s top singer Lady Rara. The musical night concert was a major highlight of the Jeddah Season, celebrating cultural and musical diversity. Aima Baig delivered outstanding performances on her various popular songs. Later the photos of Aima Baig performing Umrah was shared by her on Instagram. Numerous fans saw Aima Baig performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia through her Instagram stories.

Social Media Backlash

Aima Baig is a widely recognized leading Pakistani female singer and has been a prominent figure in both playback singing and live performances. Aima Baig had previously announced to her followers on Instagram that she was traveling abroad for some time and it sparked rumors about her leaving the country and quitting music. Later, the Aima Baig clarified that she was traveling for work. Now, videos of her performance at the musical night organized by the Pakistani community in Jeddah are going viral on social media. In the viral videos, Aima Baig can be seen delivering outstanding performances on her various popular songs but when the fans saw her performing  Umrah  just a day after she concluded a musical performance at Jeddah Season 2024, they subjected her to harsh criticism by saying that she shouldn’t have combined her work trip with her spiritual pilgrimage.
