The Ministry of Interior of Thailand declared that as of July 15, visitors from 93 countries and territories will be able to enter Thailand without a visa and stay for up to 60 days.
 
Thailand is a beautiful country and one of the most popular holiday destinations. Thailand made a number of impending changes to its visa regulations. The extension of the 30 day visa exemption period to 60 days for travelers from 93 countries was one of these modifications.
 
According to ministry spokeswoman Traisuree Taisaranakul, the new rules will make it possible for travelers from qualified countries to come for pleasure or business. Unluckily citizens of Pakistan will not get advantage through this step taken by the Thailand Government. But the foreign travelers can get benefits from this step taken by Thailand ministry are mentioned below 
  • Under special conditions, foreign nationals with 5 year visas can stay in Thailand for up to 180 days at a time while traveling and working. 

  • Additionally, foreign visitors who graduate from Thai universities with a bachelor's degree or above are permitted to remain for a year.

  • A new type of visa was established for skill seekers and digital nomads.

  • With the implementation of this new policy, Sri Lankans can now visit Thailand without initially requiring a paper visa.

  • Passport holders who travel without a visa can enter a country either before or after their arrival.
     

Reason for Taking this Initiative by Thailand Ministry 

The purpose of the action is to promote both short term business trips and tourism. Furthermore, on July 15, Thailand will launch the Destination  Thailand Visa  (DTV), which is aimed at freelancers, digital nomads, and people who want to learn martial arts and cooking.

Compared to the same period in 2023, Thailand witnessed a 35% increase in foreign arrivals through July 7 by reaching 18.2 million visitors. Thailand saw 9.4 million foreign visitors in just the first three months of this year, bringing in an estimated 454.6 billion baht ($12.4 billion) for the country's economy. This year, the nation hopes to welcome a record 40 million tourists in an effort to return to pre-pandemic levels. 
The revenue from this influx is 858 billion baht, or $24 billion. As of now in 2024, China, Malaysia, India and Pakistan have been the main tourist destinations. 

The nation's appeal keeps expanding because it offers huge range of  Thailand tour packages  that focus on breathtaking beaches, natural areas, unspoiled countryside, charming cities with temples, mouthwatering cuisine, a vibrant nightlife, and excellent, reasonably priced accommodation.
 

List of the 93 Countries that Can Enter Visa Free to Thailand 

The following is a list of the 93 nations and territories that are granted a 60-day visa-free entry into Thailand. Pakistan is not among these 93 countries.  Pakistani citizens must obtain a Thailand visa to enter the territory of Thailand.
