In spite of that China has announced a visa-free entry for citizens of six additional European countries and expands the visa-free entry list.
According to the latest news issued on 7th March the Foreign Minister of China Mr. Wang Yi announced that from March 14 to November 30, 2024 the citizens of Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg would be able to enter China. An ordinary passport holder from these mentioned countries can enter China visa-free.
This initiative by the Chinese Government allows the citizens from these countries to enter China for the purpose of business, tourism, visiting on vacation to their relatives or friends, and for the purpose of transit without requiring a visa.
The Minister Wang Yi also expressed his hope that other nations would take similar steps, to emphasize the importance of constructing fast networks for traveling across the borders and increase the beginning of international passenger flights.
