Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Yousaf, has officially announced that Hajj flights for Hajj 2025 will commence from May 28. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, he confirmed that 90,000 pilgrims will travel under the government scheme this year, and all arrangements are nearing completion in line with the Prime Minister’s directives.Sardar Yousaf stated that the first training session for pilgrims has been successfully completed, and the second phase of the training camp will begin on April 8. These training sessions are crucial to ensure that all pilgrims are fully prepared before departure. Special focus is being placed on proper guidance and education during these sessions.

Highlighting the importance of spiritual and logistical readiness, he mentioned that Hajj and Umrah are deeply rooted in faith, and every aspect of planning is being approached with sincerity. The Minister shared that arrangements such as vaccinations, transportation, and medical facilities are being improved for the convenience of pilgrims.
As per the updated Hajj schedule, all Hajj flights will begin nationwide from May 28, with proper duties assigned to government officers to manage operations smoothly. Special attention will be given to elderly pilgrims, and training at venues like the Punjab University auditorium will continue to ensure quality preparation.
While discussing Hajj packages, the Minister revealed that the international cost for Hajj has increased significantly, reaching up to 1.05 million PKR. However, the government is offering short-term Hajj packages ranging between 21 to 22 days, priced at 1.15 million PKR. Any remaining funds after the Hajj will be refunded to the pilgrims, as it is their rightful due.
Sardar Yousaf assured that only two months are left until departure, and efforts are being intensified to provide high-quality services. He also praised the Saudi authorities for continuously enhancing their arrangements for pilgrims. Additionally, improvements have been made in the Hajj 2025 packages, including better medical missions and transportation facilities. In closing, the Minister emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring a smooth and respectful Hajj experience, and no reports have been received of pilgrims facing financial hardship or begging during the pilgrimage.
