In the month of Ramadan, so many beggars from various countries have arrived in Saudi Arabia in large numbers and action has been taken against them.
There has been continuous reports that beggars from many developing and poor countries continue to flock to Makkah and Madinah and request for money from
Umrah package pilgrims.
According to Arab media, the Saudi police detained more than 4,000 beggars from around the Haram Mosque and transferred them to the police station. These rapists will be sent back to their homeland after legal punishment. Ther have been many attempts to softly curb this issue but this has rather spread even further needing a proper response from the authorities.
In a statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, calling for discouraging beggars, it has been said that professional beggars can be a threat to peace and terrorist organizations can also collect funds under their guise.
It has been said in the statement that it is strictly prohibited in Islam to be greedy, so do not give charity to anyone. Professional beggars are part of organized mafia.
In a statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Interior, it has been said that after Masjid al-Haram, an operation will be conducted against beggars around large mosques including the Prophet's Mosque and other holy places.
