Makkah is the most sacred place for Muslims all over the world. Prayers, Umrahs, and Hajj are not accepted if Makkah is not included in them. The main thing which makes Makkah so respected and prominent is that Ka'bah and Masjid-e-Haraam are situated there. Masjid Al Haram:

Among the Places to Visit for Ziarat in Makkah, Masjid Al Haram is the most sacred place of worship for Muslims on this earth. It is where Ka’bah, Hijr-e-Aswad, Maqaam-e-Ibrahim, Safa, and Marwah are located. It is the place where once Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) lived with his family and constructed Ka’bah with his son Ismail (A.S). Masjid Al Haram is full of believers every time, be it day or night.

Masjid Al Haram is kept neat and clean every time. It is the place of peace and serenity. That’s why it is the best place for Ziarat. Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter Makkah. Only Muslims can visit this sacred place, pray here, perform Umrah and Hajj.

 

Jabal-an-Noor:

It means Mountain with reflected light and it is also one of the Islamic Landmarks in Makkah. It is a mountain where there is a cave. The cave name is Cave Hira. In this cave, Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. used to stay for several days for prayer and it is the exact place where the Prophet received the first revelation of Surah Alaq in Ramadhan. Jabal Ar-Rahmah:

It is also a mountain which denotes the place where Adam and Hawwa (Salaamun Alehim) first reunited and got forgiveness. It was Jabal ar Rahmah, where Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. delivered his famous unforgettable last sermon. The white small pillar denotes the place where Prophet stood while addressing the last sermon. On the 9th of Zil-Hajj, Hajj performers gather on Jabal Rahmah, and it is one of the main points if Hajj.

Jabal-e-Saur/ Thaur:

It is a mountain that has a cave. In that cave, Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. and his companion Abu Bakr (R.A) stayed for 3 days after leaving Makkah. Then, they both moved to Madinah.  Read about the arrival departure and full details about Madinah airport.
 

 

Jamarat:

Jamarah is those 3 pillars in Mina, whom Muslims stone in the days of Hajj. It is done in the memory of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S), who pebbled Satan on the places where now these pillars are situated.

Jannat Al Mu’alla:

Jannat al Mu’alla is a cemetery/ graveyard in Makkah where the relatives of Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. are buried. These include the wife of Prophet (Khadijah R.A), the uncle of Prophet (Abu Talib), the grandfather of Prophet (Hazrat Abdul Muttalib), and great-grandfather of Prophet (Hashim). It is said that Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. frequently used to visit this graveyard.

Masjid Al-Jinn:

It is said that Masjid Al-Jinn is situated at the place where Prophet Muhammad was once reciting the Holy Quran and a group of Jinns heard him. stopped there and started listening to him. After this, they accepted Islam and went to their nation to acknowledge them about the true religion i.e. Islam. Al-Jinn Masjid is built in the memory of that event.

Jabal-e-Abu Qubais:

It was Mount Abu Qubais, where the Prophet was standing at its top, and he pointed towards the moon and the moon split into 2 parts. Then those parts joined together. It is a miracle of Prophet in which every Muslim believes. So, visitors should do ziarat of Jabal Abu Qubais while they are on the sacred journey of Umrah.

Muzdalifa:

Muzdalifa is a route between Mina and Arafat. During the Hajj days, pilgrims pass through this path while going back from Arafat to Mina. It is an open area near Makkah. During Hajj, Maghrib and Isha prayers both are offered together in Muzdalifa at Isha time. A Mosque called Masjid Mash’arul Haram is also situated here. It is said that Prophet stayed at its place while performing his only Hajj (Hajjatul Wida). So, it is also one of the sacred Ziyarat places in Makkah.
