The Attack on Makkah in 930AD:

The attack on Makkah in 930AD canceled the hajj for the whole decade. Almost 30,000 pilgrims killed during this attack. Qarmatians sect based leader, Abu Taher Al-Janabilauched the attack on Makkah. Al Janabi killed thousands of Muslims in Makkah and dumped their bodies in Zamzam.

The Grand Mosque was also looted and from the Kaaba, he stole the Black Stone and taken to Bahrain. At the time Hajj was suspended and then restored after the arrival of Black Stone in Makkah.

The Political Dispute in 983AD:

In 938AD, there was a political dispute among the rulers of the Abbasid Caliphate and Fatimid Caliphate. This dispute stopped the Muslims to travel for the Hajj pilgrimage. The fight between the two Muslims empires suspended the Hajj for eight years.

The Plague incident in 1831:

In 1831, the Hajj was suspended due to the plague spread in Makkah from Sub Continent. According to the reports, 75% of pilgrims died in Makkah by this disease. This forced the entire pilgrimage to contain the disease.

The Cholera Outbreaks in 1846 and 1858:

The cholera outbreak forced the authorities to halt the Hajj pilgrimage. The two cholera pandemics hits the Saudi Arabia in 1846 and 1858 and Hajj was cancelled. In 1846, cholera killed around 15,000 Muslims in Makkah. At that time Hajj was suspended to control the prevalence of the disease. The second outbreak of cholera follows the same scenario and the pilgrims were forced to stay in quarantine camps. In 1865 and 1863 the Hajj was also suspended due to the outbreak of disease in Saudi Arabia
