According to the Hajj scheme for the year 2025 for the initial application, applicants must deposit around Rs 200,000. The second payment installment of the Hajj fees will be collected after the draw on December 6. Between February 1st and February 10th, 2025, the outstanding balance must be settled. Last year, the government launched the Hajj sponsorship scheme, allowing Pakistanis who are living abroad to apply for the Hajj or sponsor the trip by paying in US dollars
In addition to the general scheme, 5,000 seats are allocated for overseas Pakistanis under the sponsorship scheme. The "first come, first served" policy applies to these seats. Overseas Pakistanis can sponsor their own or their loved ones' pilgrimage by sending $4,225 to a designated bank.
The Hajj ministry will monitor the performance of the bank branches directly through a dashboard. Women Hajj pilgrims will be allowed to travel with a group without a male guardian if they have permission from the guardian. Other amenities offered by the government Hajj package include separate family rooms, facilities for slaughter, and covering for food, flights, vaccinations, transportation, and training. However, people who have severe or complicated medical issues will not be permitted to perform the Hajj.

The long hajj plan allows pilgrims to stay up to 42 days, which includes eight days in Madinah. The cost of the Hajj is Rs. 1,065,000 for those leaving from Karachi, Quetta, and Sukkur in the south and Rs. 1,075,000 for those leaving from the north.
Pakistanis living abroad are eligible for the sponsorship program, and payment must be made in US dollars. Additionally, they have the option to designate another person on their behalf. The fees have been set at $3,800 for individuals coming from the north and $3,765 for those coming from the south. For the short duration under the sponsorship scheme, it will cost $4,015 and $4,050 for the two regions, respectively.
The short hajj package that the government has introduced would be completed in no more than 25 days. The price will be approximately Rs. 80,000 higher than that of the standard Hajj package. Those from the southern region will pay Rs. 1,140,000 for the short hajj package, while those from the northern regions would pay Rs. 1,150,000.
