Introduced to the island by the British in the 1850s, Ceylon Tea has gained worldwide acclaim for its exceptional quality and has been a cornerstone of Sri Lanka's economy for generations. Today, Sri Lanka stands as one of the largest tea exporters globally. The optimal climate of the island's hill country yields the finest tea flavors, making a guided tour of a Tea Factory an enlightening experience.

The town bears a distinct British influence, evident in its architecture, reminiscent of quaint country cottages and elegant Queen Anne-style mansions. Don't miss the chance to explore Victoria Park, nestled in the heart of the town, offering a serene setting for a leisurely stroll or a delightful picnic.
