SIDON
Inhabited since 4000 BC, Sidon is a famous name in the history of Lebanon. Sidon was considered as the main city port of ancient Phoenicia. Sidon today is the South’s commercial center of Lebanon. A Crusader old sea castle located next to the port will catch your eyes on arrival. Many Khans, souks, mosque, a soap museum and a palace are also open for visitors to explore.

TYRE
Located in South Lebanon, Tyre ruled the seas in Phoenician times, and was called “Queen of the Seas”. It also founded many colonies such as Cadiz and Carthage. According to legend, Tyre also invented the purple dye. Tyre now has many attractions to offer to its visitors, especially from Roman times. Tyre remains and ruins are composed to two sites: Al Mina archeological site (sea site), and Al-Bass archeological site (city site).

 

MAGHDOUCHE
Maghdouche is a small village in Southern Lebanon. Aside from being a pilgrimage attraction, this town is also a good place for getting some fresh air. Maghdouche is famous for the tower of Our Lady of Awaiting (Mantara), and a small cave where Virgin Mary used to wait for her son Jesus while preaching.
