Day 1 : Colombo (Katunayake) Airport Kandy

Welcome to Sri Lanka!

Upon your arrival at Colombo International Airport, you'll be greeted by a designated guide from Esna Holidays. Once airport formalities are completed, you'll be ushered to your comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for a transfer to Kandy.

Along the way, we'll make a stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. This sanctuary serves as a haven, nursery, and breeding ground for wild Asian elephants. Nestled in Pinnawala village, it boasts the largest captive elephant herd globally, with 96 elephants in 2011, spanning three generations. Established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation, the orphanage's mission is to care for and safeguard orphaned elephants found roaming the forests of Sri Lanka.

Next, we'll visit the Spice Garden in Mawanella, where you'll explore the rich array of spices for which Sri Lanka is renowned. You'll have the opportunity to learn about various spices, witness their cultivation, and discover the intricate processing methods.
Upon arrival in Kandy, you'll check into your hotel, where the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 2 : Kandy Colombo

After a scrumptious breakfast checkout from hotel. 
Visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Kandy and then proceed to Colombo.

The Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya span a majestic 147 acres and have a rich history dating back to 1374 when they served as the pleasure gardens for the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. With over 5,000 species of trees, plants, and creepers, including rare and endemic varieties alongside flora from tropical regions, the gardens offer a stunning display of biodiversity. Among the highlights are the Spice Garden and Orchid House, which draw in many tourists. Five Palm Avenues grace the grounds, the oldest and tallest being the Royal Palm Avenue, planted in 1905. Notable among these is the Double Coconut Avenue, featuring seeds from Seashells Island, known for having the largest seed of all plants in the world.
In the evening, embark on a City & Shopping Tour.

The Colombo City Tour provides a glimpse into the bustling commercial areas and serene residential neighborhoods, including the leafy Cinnamon Gardens. Explore historic sites like Fort, once the British administrative center and military garrison, and Sea Street, renowned for its Goldsmiths' quarters in Pettah. Visit a Hindu Temple adorned with intricate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal, dating back to 1749.

For those inclined towards shopping, the Colombo Shopping Tour offers an enticing journey through the capital's vibrant tapestry of cultures, religions, and socioeconomic classes. Explore bargain markets, iconic landmarks like Independence Square, and modern shopping destinations such as Odel Shopping Mall, Colombo City Center, and One Galle Face. Don't miss the opportunity to peruse handicrafts at Laksala, the state-owned emporium, or explore Dutch Hospital and Premadasa Gems & Gallery.
Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 3 : Colombo Airport

Transfer to Airport for the flight back.
