Itinerary

Day 1 - Columbia Icefield Jasper Town

The headwaters of the Bow River start in the Canadian Rockies, flowing south through Calgary and joining the Oldman River on its journey to Hudson Bay. This route is celebrated as one of Canada's great treasures, spanning 232 km (144 mi) through the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site. Along this world-class journey, visitors can explore pristine mountain lakes, ancient glaciers, and expansive valleys.

Near the Columbia Icefield, visitors have the opportunity to venture onto a small part of North America's largest icefield. Optional tours include the Ice Explorer and Columbia Icefield Skywalk, offering a once-in-a-lifetime experience to explore the heart of the remarkable Icefields Parkway, one of the largest non-polar ice fields globally. Following the Snowcoach tour, continue to discover waterfalls, wildlife, fossils, and more on an exhilarating 1-kilometer walkway leading to a platform where only glass separates you from a 918-foot (280 m) drop. Step onto a cliff-edge walkway where massive glaciers tower above and the stunning Sunwapta Valley stretches below – Skywalk (Optional).

Due to high demand, we strongly recommend booking the optional activities offered with admission. While not among the tallest, the waterfall is renowned for the sheer volume and force of water flowing from the Columbia Glacier.
Jasper Town, located at the heart of Jasper National Park, is the second-largest town in the Canadian Rockies. Stop time in Jasper is at your discretion. Please note that room arrangements will be based on your booking size; if four people require two rooms, please make two separate bookings with two adults per room.

Day 2 - Maligne Lake Maligne Canyon Peyto Lake Crowfoot Glacier Calgary

It is the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies, known for its stunning scenery. Opting for a cruise is possible, offering a picturesque way to experience the lake. Due to high demand, we highly recommend booking this option in advance. The lake is nestled in the Palliser Formation, a layer of limestone formed around 365 million years ago by lime-secreting plankton in a shallow tropical sea.Medicine Lake is notable for being one of the largest sinking rivers in the Western Hemisphere and possibly the largest inaccessible cave system globally. It is a glacier-fed lake located in Banff National Park, where during summer, glacial rock flour enters the lake, giving it a vibrant turquoise hue. (If closed, Waterfowl Lakes offer an alternative.)
Named for its distinctive shape upon discovery, this stop is a must-see, especially in the context of current climate change. The "Third Toe" has melted and is now barely visible.
