Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival Male Tour And Transfer To Guraidhoo

Meet your guide at Velana International Airport, who will lead you on a tour of the capital city. Explore key attractions such as the fish market, local market, President’s Palace, and the Friday Mosque. Wander through Male's narrow streets to immerse yourself in its rich culture, history, and daily life.After lunch, board a local ferry for a scenic 120-minute journey to Guraidhoo, a local island in South Male Atoll. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Maldives' many islands and keep an eye out for dolphins along the way.Upon arrival, settle into your guesthouse and unwind in the garden or on the local beach, where you can witness a stunning sunset. Dinner will be a unique experience with a local family, where meals are traditionally enjoyed without utensils, offering an authentic taste of Maldivian hospitality.

Day 2 - Snorkeling Island Tour And Hedikaa

After breakfast, accompanied by your tour leader, we embark on our first underwater adventure! Your guide will begin with a safety briefing on responsible snorkeling and will act as your spotter, pointing out marine life that you might otherwise miss. Coral reefs are delicate ecosystems, so learning to snorkel responsibly is crucial to minimizing our impact on marine life and preserving their fragile balance. This snorkeling experience also offers a firsthand look at how development and other activities affect coral reefs.For those less confident or new to snorkeling, your Tour Leader will provide assistance to ensure your equipment is comfortable and you feel secure in the water.As the afternoon cools, we explore Guraidhoo and immerse ourselves in local life. Visit the harbor where fishermen bring in their daily catch, chat with children playing in the streets, and observe the community's evening meal preparations. Don't miss the chance to sample traditional 'hedika' at a local cafe—Maldivian savory and sweet snacks served with black tea.
Despite the Maldives' rich marine biodiversity, our marine life faces threats from human activities. Over coffee after dinner, your tour leader will discuss harmful practices impacting the ecosystem and what we can do to minimize our footprint.

Day 3 - Snorkeling Tree Planting And Beach Dinner

After enjoying a traditional local breakfast at your guesthouse, embark on a speedboat journey to explore two of the Maldives' finest nearby reefs. These coral formations are home to a rich array of marine life, showcasing vibrant fish and intricate corals. Look out for surprises like turtles, sharks, and rays gliding through the azure waters. Upon returning to Guraidhoo, you'll have free time to engage in optional water sports, diving, or surfing.
In the late afternoon, participate in a meaningful community activity by planting a palm tree—a vital act in the Maldives for stabilizing soil against erosion caused by storms and tides. Refresh yourself with freshly harvested Kurumba (coconut water) and unwind with a swim in the ocean.
As night falls, savor a Maldives-style beach dinner under the starlit sky, serenaded by the soothing sounds of the waves—a perfect conclusion to your Maldives Discovery Tour.

Day 4 - Departure

Following an early breakfast you will transfer by morning public ferry to Male and on to Male International Airport.

Entry Requirements

Travelers must have a confirmed accommodation or tour booking.
Travelers must possess a passport or travel document valid for at least 30 days from the date of entry into the Maldives.
Travelers must have a return flight ticket.
The online traveler declaration form IMUGA must be completed within 96 hours prior to arrival in the country.

Important Note

The Maldives, being a Muslim country, does not permit alcohol on local islands. However, day or evening visits to resorts can be arranged, subject to availability. While bikinis are not allowed on local island beaches, all our guesthouses provide private gardens or balconies, along with designated tourist beach areas where guests can wear bikini swimwear.
