Day 2 - Athens Sightseeing The Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum

Its distinctive shape is due to the unusual construction method, with five small churches built atop one another during the 14th century.If you're looking to explore beyond the beaches, a trip to the village of Ano Mera is a must. This charming town is renowned for its whitewashed cubic houses, picturesque terraces, winding lanes, cozy squares, and iconic blue-domed churches perched dramatically 300 meters above the caldera.

You can reach Firá from the small port of Skala by walking up the steep, winding path (587 steps) or by riding a mule. Alternatively, a cable car offers a more relaxed ascent. For a scenic adventure, hike the Fira to Oia trail along the caldera cliff.Ferries arrive at the port of Athiniós, which is connected to Firá by road, while cruise ships anchor in the caldera, with passengers transferred to Skala by tender.
