The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a trek of moderate difficulty, renowned as one of Nepal's finest. It offers breathtaking vistas of towering Himalayan peaks like Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiuchuli. The trail winds through verdant forests ablaze with vibrant red rhododendrons, immersing you in their beauty.En route, you'll encounter the traditional Gurung villages, providing glimpses into local life amidst stunning landscapes. Following ancient trade routes, the trek showcases Nepal's rich cultural heritage. Poon Hill, famed for its sunrise panoramas, offers unparalleled views of the majestic Himalayas bathed in the morning light. With its diverse terrain of forests, meadows, and hills, this route promises a memorable trekking experience.
You'll be accompanied by experienced guides and porters (1 porter for 2 clients) who ensure your safety and well-being throughout the 7-day journey. Additionally, travel rescue and essential medical supplies, including a first aid kit, are available in case of emergencies.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Drive from Katmandu to Pokhara - approx 7 Hours

After a scenic morning drive, we'll arrive in Pokhara Valley, where the afternoon awaits for us to soak in its ethereal beauty. Gaze upon the shimmering white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges before settling in for an overnight stay at a local hotel in Pokhara.

Day 2 - Drive from Katmandu to Pokhara - approx 7 Hours

We'll spend the morning on the road, arriving in Pokhara Valley by afternoon to experience its enchanting beauty. Take in the breathtaking views of the glistening white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. We'll stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara to fully immerse ourselves in this picturesque setting.

Day 3 - Ghorepani - Poon Hill - Ghandruk

Your trek begins at Nayapul (1050m), passing through Birethanti (1065m). The initial leg of your journey is pleasant, winding through small hamlets and settlements. Gradually, you ascend to reach your destination for the day, Tikhedhunga (1577m), after approximately four and a half hours of trekking. Overnight accommodation is available at a lodge.

Day 4 - Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani - 6 Hours approx

Your trek starts with a steep 2-hour ascent, followed by a gentle path passing through Magar villages of Ulleri (2070m) and Banthanti. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m), Hiunchuli (6441m), and Annapurna South (7219m). The trail then eases through forests and descends gently to your final camp for the day. Overnight accommodation is available at a lodge.

Day 5 - Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill - Pokhara - 7 hours approx

Embark on an early morning journey to Poon Hill (3232m.), where you can witness the breathtaking sunrise casting its glow over a panoramic vista of majestic peaks including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhre (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), and Lamjung Himal (6931m.), among others.
After a hearty breakfast, trek from Ghorepani to Tikhedhunga (2650m.), winding through lush forests adorned with rhododendrons, bamboo groves, and ancient oak trees. Along the way, be enchanted by cascading waterfalls, rugged rock formations, encounters with local wildlife and birds, and picturesque green landscapes.This journey promises a blend of natural wonders and serene mountain beauty, making it a truly unforgettable experience.

Day 6 - Drive from Pokhara to Katmandu - 7 Hours approx

As you journey from Pokhara to Kathmandu, your route takes you through Damauli, Dumre, Muglin, and Kurintar, home to Nepal’s inaugural cable car service leading to the Manakamana Temple. Along the way, revel in vistas of towering mountains, verdant landscapes, terraced rice fields, and bustling scenes of local life.From Naubishe, the road ascends to Thankot, serving as the gateway to Kathmandu, where your adventure through Nepal's diverse and captivating terrain culminates.

Day 7 - Departure to Airport

On the 7th day, you finally come to that point of time where the adventurous trekking trip comes to an end.

Upon successful booking, the customer will receive a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours. If the preferred slots are not available, we will arrange an alternate schedule according to the customer’s preference and send a new confirmation voucher via email. Alternatively, customers may opt to cancel their booking before confirmation, in which case a full refund will be processed.

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is made 15 days or more before the date of travel, a cancellation fee of 50.0% of the total booking cost will be charged.If cancellation is made between 7 days and 15 days before the date of travel, a cancellation fee of 75.0% of the total booking cost will be charged.If cancellation is made within 7 days before the date of travel, the total booking cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
Payment Terms Policy
100.0% of total tour cost will have to be paid 0 days before the date of booking

Force Majeure

In the event of unforeseen weather conditions, union issues, government restrictions, or any other circumstances beyond human control, certain trips or activities may be cancelled. Alternate feasible options will be provided in such cases. However, a cash refund will not be available.
