Here, we'll explore the architectural marvels of Aliqapu Palace, with its six floors, the Royal Mosque (also known as the Imam Mosque), a masterpiece of Persian Islamic architecture, the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, a private sanctuary of the royal court, and the majestic Chehelsotoun Pavilion with its renowned 40 columns.
Venturing into the bustling Qeysarieh Bazaar, we'll navigate its labyrinthine alleys, commencing from the northern side of the square and culminating at the venerable Old Jameh Mosque of Isfahan, another UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Iran's oldest mosques still in existence.
Our itinerary then leads us to Jolfa, the Armenian quarter, where we'll marvel at the Vank Cathedral, a testament to Christianity's presence in Iran.
Continuing our exploration along the banks of the Zayandeh River, we'll admire several historical bridges, including the picturesque Siosepol and Khaju, renowned as two of the city's most exquisite bridges.
Concluding our tour, we'll take a leisurely stroll along Charbagh Street, aptly named "the four gardens," a historic thoroughfare nestled in the heart of Isfahan. Tonight, we rest in Isfahan, enveloped in its rich tapestry of culture and heritage.
As we journey towards Shiraz, our first pause will be at Pasargadae. Here, we'll explore the tomb of Cyrus the Great and the remnants of the inaugural capital of the Achaemenid Empire.
Continuing our expedition, we'll venture to Naghsh-e-Rostam, serving as both a necropolis for Achaemenid monarchs and a repository of Sassanid rock carvings. A brief drive leads us to Persepolis, where we'll marvel at the awe-inspiring vestiges of an ancient ceremonial complex dating back 2500 years.
This site was once the focal point for celebrating Nowruz, the Persian New Year, during the reign of the Achaemenid Empire. Before concluding our journey in Shiraz, we'll pay homage to the Quran Gate, a site revered for imparting blessings to travelers as they pass beneath its arch. Continuing our exploration, we'll venture to the historic Karimkhani Citadel, once the stronghold of the Zand dynasty. Our odyssey takes us further to Eram Garden, an integral part of Shiraz's botanical landscape and a UNESCO World Heritage site, before concluding our journey at the Hafiz Memorial, where Iranians gather to honor their beloved 14th-century poet.
