As the Umrah session is going to start from 30th July  according to Ministry of Hajj & Umrah there have been some updates regarding rules for Umrah pilgrimage trip. The Umrah Visa fees for carrying out Umrah pilgrimage stands at 950 Riyal (Rs. 58,958). The national airline “Pakistan International Airlines” (PIA) have offered special discounts for flights to Saudi Arabia for carrying pilgrims for Umrah.

The Ministry of Hajj & Umrah has released the following new rules for carrying out Umrah pilgrimage

• Anyone can attain valid Umrah Visa who’s age is 0 to 150 years of age
• Female pilgrims who are under 45 years of age are not required to have Mahram for carrying out Umrah as long as they are part of woman group. 
• Men pilgrims below the age of 40 can perform Umrah without Mahram
• No Covid-19 vaccine or PCR tests needed 
• The Umrah pilgrims must obtain permit for Umrah and Rawdah from “Eatmarna” App
• Umrah pilgrims must be in good health as reported by “Tawakkalna” smartphone app
• Umrah pilgrims must wear face masks when they are inside the Grand Mosque
• Umrah pilgrims must leave Grand Mosque when their entry permits expire 
• Umrah pilgrims must avoid carrying extra or unauthorized luggage towards holy sites for carrying out Islamic rituals
• Umrah pilgrims must book their slot through color coded system of “Eatmarna” app depending upon the capacity of Grand Mosque in the city of Makkah
• Umrah pilgrim permits will be cancelled if are tested positive for contacting COVID 19 or if they are proven in any way to have been in close contact through “Tawakkalna” app. 
• Children who are below the 5 year old will be allowed to accompany their during for carrying out prayer among the two Holy Mosques will be restricted for carrying out Umrah
• Umrah pilgrims apart from COVID 19 vaccination must have carried out vaccination of Yellow Fever, Meningococcal Meningitis, Polio, and Seasonal Flu shot.
