The Government of Pakistan has announced significant financial relief for pilgrims who performed Hajj under the Government Hajj Scheme in 2024. Religious Affairs Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain revealed that refunds ranging from Rs20,000 to Rs140,000 will be issued to eligible pilgrims.
The refunds are categorized based on various factors, including Mina accommodation, Makkah lodging, and Maktab C allocation. Additionally, savings from Qurbani refunds and airfare reductions are being passed on to the pilgrims.

In addition to the refunds, the government has reduced the cost of the Hajj packages for the upcoming Hajj season in 2025. The 40-day long Hajj package has been reduced by Rs25,000, bringing the total cost to Rs1,050,000. Pilgrims opting for this package will need to pay a third installment of Rs 450,000. Similarly, the 25-day short Hajj package has been further reduced by 50,000, setting the new price at Rs1,100,000.
Applications for the Government Hajj Scheme 2025 are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Prospective pilgrims are advised to submit their applications promptly to secure their spots.
