The Schengen Area consists of 27 member countries located in Europe which are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. There are millions of tourists who visit these countries every year thanks to a centralized visa system giving free access to these countries and making it easy for people to enjoy their European tour packages of all types.
Currently the latest news bashes the internet according to the Hungarian News Agency MTI, Ljubljana decided to re-establish the border control despite Hungary and Slovenia being members of the Schengen Zone because of the Israeli-Palestinian war.
The MTI released this news through gathering the information from local press and according to them the major reason for this act is the Palestine and Israel War. They said that the law enforcement authorities found evidence that organized crime is rising in the Western Balkan due to this war.
Other than that, different terrorists and various extremist groups are fleeing the war zones in order to avoid being held accountable for their deeds. And now they are heading towards Europe to harm its safety and stability.
The important point to note is that Schengen states have a unified visa system for all nationalities that arrive in any country of the Schengen area states. Every visitor is required to have a valid Schengen travel insurance and every visitor is processed with immense details and documentations before reaching Schenge area countries.
Keeping in mind these consequences, Slovenia created 14 checkpoints on the Hungarian-Slovenian and Croatian-Slovenian border. And now only European Union citizens are allowed to enter by using all border crossings, but the third-country nationals can enter Slovenia only at those 14 checkpoints. Not even a Schengen visa holder will allow the free movement in the state directly now.
Another reason Slovakia has introduced the border control on the Hungarian-Slovakian border is the illegal migration happened on 5th of October though it ended up on 14th October but the authorities have extended it until November 2.
Most of the global citizens are thinking that it might be the “End of Schengen” but the main reason to introduce the border control is the safety and stativity of the European state.
