For the year 1447 AH / 2025 the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, has organised the 50th National Competition for Books, Naat and Articles on Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH). This competition is inviting individuals to submit books, Naats or articles related to the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). And these lucky participants have the opportunity to win exciting prizes for exceptional contribution to this competition.

Competition Categories and Prize Details

Book Writing on Seerat-un-Nabi

Write books focusing on the life, teachings and Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Prize categories for this competition have been given below:

  • 1st prize: Rs. 150,000
  • 2nd prize: Rs. 125,000
  • 3rd prize: Rs. 100,000
  • 4th prize: Rs. 80,000
  • 5th prize: Rs. 75,000

Naat Writing Competition

Submit Naats in Urdu or other local languages. Prize categories for Naat competition are given below:

  • 1st prize: PKR 125,000
  • 2nd prize: PKR 100,000
  • 3rd prize: PKR 75,000

Articles on Islamic Topics

Write articles focusing on Islamic teachings and values. Following are the prize categories for articles competition:

  • 1st prize: PKR 125,000
  • 2nd prize: PKR 100,000
  • 3rd prize: PKR 75,000

Special Articles on Seerah and Character Building

Write articles highlighting character-building lessons from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Prize details for this category has been given below:

  • 1st prize: PKR 75,000
  • 2nd prize: PKR 60,000

Research Articles on Seerah

Write scholarly research articles on the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Winning prize for this research articles category has been given below:

  • 1st prize: PKR 75,000
  • 2nd prize: PKR 60,000


Rules and Guidelines

  1. Apply for the competition under the “Hussn-e-Qirat, Essay Writing, and Debate” program of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony by following the listed rules and regulations. Failure to comply will result in disqualification from the competition.
  2. Only those competitors will be eligible to participate who have not won first prizes in the last five years in any such competition held by the Ministry or affiliated organizations.
  3. Competitors should recite the Quran and deliver their speeches in line with the teachings of Islamic beliefs. Any content contrary to the teachings of Islam will result in disqualification.
  4. The essay must be written in Urdu or English. Participants are allowed to use references from authentic Islamic texts for historical and religious content.
  5. Essay topics will be related to Quranic verses, hadith and the sayings of great Islamic scholars. Content that deviates from the main topic or contains unverified references will be disqualified.
  6. The essay must be free of plagiarism. A “Similarity Index” will be checked for each submission using software tools. Submissions with more than 20% similarity will be rejected.
  7. The essay should contain a minimum of 20 pages and a maximum of 30 pages, written on A4-sized paper. The text should be typed in 18, 16 font sizes for titles and main text, respectively, using standard formatting (1 line space). References should be given as footnotes, and complete adherence to formatting rules is required.
  8. The decision of the judges regarding the merit of the submission will be final and cannot be challenged.
  9. Regional, district, and national competitions will be conducted in phases. The final decision at the national level will be made under the supervision of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
  10. Competitors should bring their ID cards or official documents for verification purposes on the day of the competition.
  11. The expenses related to transportation and accommodation for participants will not be reimbursed by the Ministry.
  12. This competition is limited to Pakistani citizens aged between 16 and 40 The final decision regarding eligibility rests with the Ministry.
  13. The deadline for all competition submissions is 28th March 2025.
