Pilgrims can benefit from more than 2764 healthcare facilities and services in various cities of Saudi Arabia during Umrah season. 

The Saudi Arabia Hajj Ministry’s Umrah insurance program includes a total of 151 private and public sector hospitals providing services to pilgrims visiting Madinah and Makkah. Furthermore, more than 773 polyclinics, health centers, and 1840 pharmacies and medical laboratories will serve Umrah pilgrims.

Umrah Health Insurance Cost:

The Umrah health insurance policy costs 40 SAR (Saudi Riyals) 

Umrah Health Insurance Coverage Period: 

Umrah pilgrims are covered for a maximum period of 90 days under the Umrah Health Insurance.

Umrah Health Insurance Health benefits: 

  • Max limit for health benefits is SAR 100,000 per person 
  • Hospitalization (max limit)
  • Limit of daily room and board for the patient (best cost, nursing, medical visits, supervision, cost of medications and medical supplies (doctor prescript) (shared room, max SR 600 per day)
  • Limit of daily room and board for parent companion (shared room max SR150 per day
  • Expenses of emergency pregnancy and delivery (max SR 5000 during the policy period)
  • Travel cost of one close family/caregiver (max 5000 SR during policy)
  • Emergency dental treatment (max 500 SR )
  • Treatment of prematurely born babies (up to max limit of mother policy)
  • Injuries resulting from traffic accidents (max limit of policy )
  • Emergency renal dialysis (max policy limit)
  • Medical evacuation inside and outside the kingdom (max policy limit)
  • Corpse repatriation to home country expenses (max 10,000 SAR during the policy period)

Umrah Health Insurance General Benefits:

SR 100,000 per person/legal blood money subject to court judgment no exceeding SR 300,000 for males or SR 150,000 for female 

  • Accidental death/death natural disaster

  • Accidental permanent total disability 

Delay or Cancellation of departure flights from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia:

SAR 50 per hour and max up to SR. 500 per ticket (calculated from the fifth delayed hour of scheduled flight time on per hour basis)
